So Iselin and Karisa’s wedding day has passed and I’m happy to report that everything went as planned and the day was a lovely occasion – the rain which had been forecasted even stayed away! Here is a short illustrated recap of the day.
I arrived at the couple’s apartment in London at noon where everyone was busy getting themselves ready. This was also the ideal time to get a photo of the dresses (plural in this case) and the rings before the day takes a hectic turn.
Within the hour, we were in taxis on our way to Regent’s Park to meet the rest of the wedding party (many of the guests had traveled from Norway and America). We had decided beforehand that we would take the formal and group photos prior to the wedding ceremony, in a slight change to the traditional wedding day schedule. I then took the couple away from the party to take the romantic informal photos. People are generally more relaxed when there isn’t a huge crowd watching them, so it’s important to isolate the couple at this point.
The wedding ceremony took place at the Old Marylebone Town Hall - confetti was thrown, champagne was sprayed, and bouquets were tossed… Everyone then headed across the road for the wedding meal at the Phoenix Palace, where (embarrassing) speeches were made and the cakes were cut.
It was a beautiful day and I am so happy to have been part of it. I wish Iselin and Karisa all the best in the future – may your lives together be an adventure full of love, joy and happiness. See you both very soon!
