A colourful red wedding from the other weekend when Christina and Mark got married at the Broxbourne Register Office. Their reception was held at The Fish and Eels. With the summer barely here, the lovely bride had been praying overnight for the rain to hold off, and her prayers were indeed answered. Here are just some of photos from the day. Incidentally, the groom was noticeably more relaxed in front of the camera on the wedding day after our engagement photoshoot earlier.
These photos cover the bridal preparations at the house before the wedding where I was able to get a few portraits of the bride and some photos of the rings – natural window light against a soft veil makes for a beautiful portrait of the bride. The first kiss is always an important moment, and I think the expression on the couple’s faces says a lot here. There are then some of my favourite photos of the couple throughout the day, including one outside the register office – I always make sure there is a great photo of the couple right after they are married, symbolising their new life together. Finally, I love the heart-shape I created with their hands when photographing the rings.
