Samsung T240HD Power Problems

My new monitor is being collected to go back for repairs tomorrow - not had it for very long either. The problem is that after I’ve switched the monitor off, around 30-60 minutes later, it will switch itself back on again for a few seconds - there’ll be no picture, but there is audio which is annoying when you’ve just fallen asleep.
According to a Samsung technician, the monitor is waking up to look for a firmware update and it requires a firmware update to fix this behaviour! And so it goes back to the factory tomorrow.
If you have a similar problem (I know of one other who has the exact sane problem), give Samsung a call on 0870 7267 864 and arrange for a courier to collect your monitor. I’m told it will take 5 business days... Fingers crossed.
As an aside, my girlfriend spotted that the new sterling coins form a jigsaw with the pound coin being the preview image - as is evident in the picture.
UPDATE:
I got a call from the repair centre on Monday saying that the monitor was ready to come back. It would have taken just two business days door-to-door, and completely free of charge! Great service.
Who knew?
