Travels

I went to Paris for my 30th birthday with Sarah. I’d been before but I got to see and do much more this time round.

We saw most of the city over a few days, spending a lot of time around the Eiffel Tower, and exploring la Défense and Bercy areas amongst other parts like Chinatown.

Aside from exploring the city, we spend a day at Disneyland Paris and in the Louvre. Disney was pretty much Disney, you know what you’re going to get. The Louvre I really enjoyed, which I didn’t expect, not being a very cultured man.

Luckily, the weather was fantasic. And apart from Planet Hollywood in Disney Village, which was overpriced and bland, we dined at some excellent restaurants. Even in the Asian diner Tricotin where there was a massive language barrier and we had to order from picture cards. Le Relais de l’Entrecôte comes particularly recommended if you like steak and chips. We had to queue to get in when it opened, but it was well worth it.
