Here are some images from one of my favourite wedding venues, Farnham House Hotel in Surrey, a perfect place for wedding photography.
Jennifer and Simon got married here in the summer on a beautiful day. I met the bride in the morning upstairs in the bridal suite where she was getting ready with the girls over a glass or two of champagne. As the groom arrived, I moved downstairs for some photos with the boys as the bride put on her wedding dress. A perfect outdoor summer wedding followed, and after a spray of confetti, drinks were served and the celebrations began.
During the pre-wedding consultation and over the topic of group photos, the bride mentioned that she would like a picture of all of her guests in the shape of a heart, something that I had not done before. But from a previous wedding, I knew that the hotel had a balcony that I could access which overlooked the front of the building and was perfect for the requested shot. There was a lot of organising and directing for the one shot, but I think it turned out really well, and was worth the trouble.
After dinner, there was another first for - the bestman sang a song for the couple during the speeches which was a really emotional and lovely touch. As the evening came, I took the couple away for a little photoshoot around the expansive grounds in the sunset. There was enough time for them to mingle with their guests and share a drink before they had their first dance (a great choreographed piece) to their song performed by their wedding singer.
A perfect summer wedding, and many many congratulations to Jen and Simon.
