Engagement Photoshoot at Valentines Mansion, Ilford

I met a lovely couple yesterday at Valentines Mansion and Gardens in Ilford for a fun and relaxed engagement photoshoot ahead of their wedding next Spring at Gaynes Park. The weather was great and we came away with some great images, and here are a few of them.

Engagement photoshoot at St John Baptist Church, Danbury

The other weekend I was in Essex and met a couple at their wedding venue, the Parish Church of St John Baptist, in Danbury. They are having their reception at the Three Rivers Golf and Country Club but the club had a wedding on that day and could not accommodate us for a visit, so we took some lovely photos at the church instead, which was beautifully set in a lovely quiet town.

Engagement photoshoot at Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon

I met this couple at their fantastic wedding venue at Crabbs Barn, in Kelvedon, Essex, a beautifully restored 15th century building set on scenic gardens overlooking a wonderful pond (though on this particular cold autumnal morning, the pond was looking a bit dry).

I always insist on seeing wedding venues before the wedding so I can see for myself beforehand where the nice scenic spots are and if possible, how the light falls on the same time-of-day as the wedding itself, a valuable exercise for any serious wedding photographer.
