What's the deal?

This offer is not designed to replace traditional professional wedding photography, but instead it is for those couples who are getting married very soon and otherwise would not book a professional wedding photographer, for whatever reason; for example those couples who are limited by budget, or were considering having their hobbyist friend/relative photograph their special day at risk.

Your wedding will be photographed for free, in the same award winning style as usual, from the ceremony up to the dinner. However, importantly, you will not receive any images, prints or albums as standard. Once your images are ready, you will have a viewing session and you will have the opportunity to purchase products at this time. There is no "hard-sell" - if you like your wedding photography and wish to make a purchase (big or small), it is your decision - if you choose not to, then you can walk away - there is absolutely no obligation to purchase.

Why are you offering free professional photography?

Amateur photographers are increasingly impacting the professional business of wedding photography in a negative way, and some couples are taking huge risks and gambling with such photographers. Some couples are unaware of the value that a professional wedding photographer brings. Other couples would love to have their wedding professionally photographed but are strictly limited by budget. This offer is in part allowing couples access to professional photography, and also in part to educate on the value of it.

From a business perspective, on a given free date, it's an opportunity to go out and create some beautiful images with a bride and groom and to network with guests and venues, building brand awareness in the local community. It's also an opportunity to experiment with new ideas, poses and lighting. Of course, when the couple see the amazing images from their day, there are after sales opportunities.

Bear in mind that this is a strictly limited offer, and very few weddings will be covered via this offer owing to the rigorous work load from other weddings. But please do apply, as you have nothing to lose - you're most likely to be successful if your wedding is mid-week, short notice, and/or at a beautiful local venue.

What is included?

• Your wedding will be photographed, usually from the ceremony up to the meal, up to around 2-3 hours of coverage. This is enough to cover your wedding ceremony, group photography, a photography session with the couple, and perhaps some candid photography of guests, as required.

• A consultation prior to your wedding day to discuss your photography requirements, either via online conferencing (eg FaceTime or Skye), or at a location near my base in Oxted.

• A personal viewing session within 30 days of your photos being ready.

• Opportunity to buy images, prints, wedding albums, or other products at the viewing session only.

Is this offer right for me?

Am I eligible?

• Your wedding date must be no more than 3 months from date of application.

• Your wedding ceremony (and reception, if applicable) must be at a single location only.

• You must not have booked any other professional photographer or videographer to cover your wedding.

How do I apply?

• Applications should be made via email to [email protected].

• Include a photo ("selfie") of the couple holding a sign to read "I love Jeff Sham Photography" - this photo may be used for promotional purposes.

• State your names, ages and location where you are based.

• State your wedding date, wedding location and estimated number of guests.

• Include any other information that you think will support your application.

• Successful applicants will be contacted individually within 7 days of application - after this time, assume that your application has been unsuccessful. Remember to include a contact telephone number and email address.

• Incomplete applications may be rejected outright.

Terms

• This offer is to photograph your wedding for free, including part of your reception if required, up to around 2-3 hours of coverage.

• This offer currently applies to 2017 weddings only.

• Absolutely no images, prints, albums or any other product are included in this offer. These will be available for purchase afterwards if required.

• This offer is strictly limited, and not all applications will be successful.

• All decisions are final, and failed applications will not be discussed.

• There must be no other professional photographer or videographer covering the wedding.

• Offer subject to availability of dates.

• Strictly no cash alternative.

• All images (from both applications and the wedding itself) may be used for promotional purposes.

• Copyright of images taken at the wedding remain with the photographer.
